Brian has been broking for 35 years under the Mahony name until merging with Fraser Macandrew Ryan in 2007, which in 2009 became FMR Risk. 

He is an innovator, establishing partnerships with two of the world's largest and most respected brokers, gaining significant additional resource for his clients and for the clients of FMR Risk. He has extensive expertise with some of New Zealand's largest corporate and commercial organizations and has developed managed funds/virtual captives/captive structures for clients. Brian accessed markets for the emerging feature film industry in the early 1980s and today acts for many US studios on some of the world's largest film productions.
