FMR Risk is a wholly New Zealand owned insurance broking company providing risk related services and placing insurance covers for clients within New Zealand and internationally.  

Our origins date back to 1987 when the founding companies of FMR Risk were established in Dunedin, Christchurch, and Auckland.

In 2005, a merger process began, initially between three highly respected South Island brokerages. This growth programme quickly expanded through strategic mergers and acquisitions to include three well established Auckland companies. FMR Risk has since also opened offices in Wellington, Waikato and Hawkes Bay. Collectively FMR Risk companies have been trading for over 120 years.

The merged entity is now the country's biggest locally owned broker, transacting premium in excess of $100M. FMR Risk are regarded as the most progressive broking company in New Zealand and recently gained recognition as the fastest growing insurance broking business in the Deloitte Fast 50 awards

FMR Risk is a foundation member of the New Zealand Captive Insurance Association and Brokernet (an association of professional brokers handling over $350M premium collectively). In addition, we have a global network partnership with Arthur J Gallagher and Co, one of the world's largest international brokers.
